Brisket was fantastic. The sauce was our preferred flavor with a hint of vinegar. Both the regular and spicy sauces were perfect. The pulled pork was the traditional Texas without fat flavor and too dry for us. We prefer fatty pork, not the boiled dry Texas taste. It was not bad, just not our style. The place is a small place on another Texas backroad.

I was passing thru in a semi on TX 19 N just out of Athens, TX and I came over a little hill and saw a BBQ joint on the left side as I was just telling a friend I was looking for some good TX BBQ. I pulled my Kenworth over, and brought up their menu, and commenced to calling in an order. The lady that answered was SUPER SWEET, HELPFUL and KIND. I walked across TX 19 into E&S BBQ and was greated very nicely, and she had my order ready to go. Y'all....listen. This lady's stuff looked AMAZING!!! We chatted a bit and I had to get some banana puddin' that looked amazing! I ordered a brisket sandwich, roasted potatoes and mac and cheese, and of course the killer banana pudding. E&S ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! What an amazing little place in TX on TX 19! Excellent! And the sweet lady working there is a gem! Great customer service, excellent food and fair prices in today's world! Thanks E&S! Kuddos to you!

Delicious BBQ joint in the middle of nowhere. Hidden gem. Must give it a try. All the girls working were super friendly and very helpful. All smiles and great attitude from all of them. I had a loaded baked potato with brisket. My husband had the brisket and ribs with mashed tators and baked beans. We both loved it and will definitely be back.

Excellent BBQ at a good price. I got a beef plate for 17.31 including tax. Lots of sides to choose from. I even got mushrooms which were very good.

Were skirting around dallas on our way home from a cruise. Happened on this place. Absolutely, hands down the best BBQ I've ever eaten!!! Definitely worth the time to find it. Eat here, you won't be disappointed!

SO GOOD! My brother lives in Canton and my husband grew up there, E&S has been a staple joint for us. We always grab a to go order for Family gatherings. The brisket is really good, we were lucky enough last weekend to perfectly time our visit with a brisket that had just come off the smoker. Perfection! We also had spicy links, mac n cheese, smoked mushrooms, fried okra, peach cobbler and texas toast. Had a great conversation and shared some jokes with a really nice woman who cut up a mean brisket! Everything was great, as usual. Will be back in a couple weeks and make sure our adult kids get to enjoy a meal from E & S! BTW, the prices are also very reasonable and the portions are generous.
